The Sloppy Jones ensemble cast is lead by incredible Canadian comedic icon and Philly Angel, Linda Kash, and includes brilliant quadruple threat Jeigh Madjus, hilarious comedian Isabel Kanaan, talented actress, and writer Lory Mpiana, great actors Sebastian Sage and Sam Malkan, and of course the three creators Jamie Hart, Sophie Nation, and Jonathan Neil Alexander. Find out more below.

To get to know the staff characters better, the team released a fun mock “hiring fair” video.

Meet The Creators and Stars of Sloppy Jones: Sophie Nation, Jamie Hart, and Jonathan Neil Alexander

Sophie, Jonathan, and Jamie are both the co-creators and stars of Sloppy Jones. They created roles directly influenced by their time in the service industry and the real-life characters they had to deal with.

Sophie Nation as Rory Woods the Server (who never really works)

Sophie Nation is a Toronto based writer, director, and actor. She plays the hilarious role of Rory Woods. Rory is a wild, intersectional feminist on the outside and goofy drunk uncle on the inside. She’s the queen of side hustles and uses work more like a second office. She’s essentially the employee you never really know what they really do.

“Rory is wild, chaotic, she’s fun, she’s flirty. She is very sexy positive and doesn’t care what people think about her.”

Jonathan Neil Alexander as Thomas Collins the “Head” Server

After working his way up as a server in the fine-dining world, Jonathan wanted to create a character to embody all the drama he endured. Thus, Thomas J. Collins was created, he’s is a stuffy bitch with a heart of gold and a fiery temper – and the best server Sloppy Jones will ever have.

“I appreciate Thomas’ forthrightness. Is it always the nicest? No, not always but he’s able to ‘get what she wants.“

Jonathan Neil Alexander

Jamie Hart as Harper Shelley the Bartender

Jamie Hart is an actor and writer with a passion for feminism, LGBT representation. She believes that everyone deserves representation in their favourite film, literary or television genres. She plays Harper Shelley, a nihilistic, novelist vamp, who slings beers faster and harder than anyone, largely because of her unresolved anger issues.

“Harper Shelley is witty, she’s funny, she’s a little bit of a bitch– which I think is fun!”

Striking Comedic Gold On Set with Canadian Legends: Linda Kash and Sam Malkin

Both with over 100 film credits each to their name, Linda Kash and Sam Malkin are certified Canadian stars.

Linda Kash as Deborah Jones the “Mommyger”

Linda Kash got her start at Toronto’s famous Second City comedy club and has gone on to become an award-winning Canadian actress appearing on stage, film, and television. You may recognize her as Kraft’s beloved Philadelphia Cream Cheese Angel. However, in her role for Sloppy Jones, she could not be any further from an angel. Linda plays Frank’s estranged wife, Deborah Jones, the classiest, Niagara casino loving MILF you’ve ever seen. She’s here to collect money, sleep with Damien, and solve her husband’s murder case – in that order.

“I’m not trying to prove myself in the way I used to when I was younger. I’m just having a gas with a role like this. It stretches me a bit, which is gold, it’s fun.”

Linda Kash

“She is so incredible. I couldn’t imagine anyone else playing Deb. She scared the shit out of me in her ending monologue (which was the point of it).”

Jamie Hart recounts her favourite moments on set filming the Sloppy Jones trailer,

“My favourite moment was definitely watching Linda Kash absolutely slay her closing monologue in the two-minute sizzle. She’s incredible. Linda leaned into the three of us right before the first take and whispered, “what do you want from this? Is she controlled? Is she crazy?”  The first time Linda screamed “devil” on set, the whole cast jumped. Every take was totally new. We literally had to stop and applaud her when she wrapped.”

Jamie Hart

Sam Malkin as Weird Jeff the Regular

Canadian actor Sam Malkin has had a long and diverse career. He’s taken on a broad range of characters, over the years performing in everything from Shakespeare to sketch comedy in theatres across Canada.  Sam plays Sloppy Jones’ resident pool shark, Weird Jeff, who is the drunkest character but also the only one who’s on top of the murder case.

Broadway Baby, Jeigh Medjus Joins the Cast of Sloppy Jones

Jeigh Madjus as Antoni Torres the Head Chef

Triple threat Jeigh Madjus is Sloppy Jones’ very own Broadway Baby. He has worked in Canada and internationally as a comedy film star with Linda Kash in Servitude, as the lead, Lola, in hugely successful musical web series Prison Dancer, as a waiter with Sophie Nation, and as a Broadway actor. Jeigh plays Antoni Torres, a chic, glam, slightly paranoid chef who would rather be singing the full soundtrack of Phantom than slaving away over a hot stove.

“I’m excited to play Antoni because he gets to wear cute outfits and not cook… Just to be fun, flirtatious, and fierce!”

Jeigh Madjus
Jeigh Madjus as Antoni Torres for Sloppy Jones

Sophie Nation recounts her favourite moments filming the Sloppy Jones trailer,

“Jeigh had literally made his own sweater by sewing ostrich feathers to it, because he felt Antoni needed it. It made the character pop so much more and was an iconic detail.”

Lory Mpiana and Sebastian Sage Bring the Sexy To The World’s Least Sexy Bar, Sloppy Jones

Cassie sitting on the bar with Damian

No strangers to playing the heartthrobs on-screen, Sebastian Sage and Lory Mpiana bless audiences’ eyes with their good looks and make them laugh with their comedic talents in Sloppy Jones.

Lory Mpiana as Cassie Ley the Insta Star

Lory Mpiana is a Congolese-Canadian Actor currently living in Toronto. The bilingual actor got her start doing improv, which taught her to think on her feet on set. She plays Instagram influencer and student Cassie who is always at the bar nursing one drink all day while on the Wi-Fi promoting her fake, fab life.

“She has an ego, this alter ego about herself. My characters have always tended to be truthful- not that Cassie isn’t. I feel that when you have an ego like that and you treat people a certain way, there’s always something beneath the surface.”

Lory Mpiana

Sebastian Sage as Damian Hardwell the Line Cook

Sebastian Sage is a Calgary-born, Toronto-based, and revered actor. He has trained in figurative painting, music, and operatic singing. Sebastian plays, Damian Hardwell, a handsome himbo line cook, who falls in love with everyone.

“Damian is a very promiscuous fella’. He’s mostly in the industry for the hookup culture, but he’s not a douche! He’s a fun endearing guy.”

Sebastian Sage

The ’80s Called And They Want Their Top Detective Back

Isabel Kanaan as Blake Guinto the Detective

Isabel Kanaan is a Second City Grad and Seneca College Acting for Camera and Voice alumna. This Filipino- Canadian film and theatre actor loves both screen and stage. She plays Detective Blake Guinto; who’s exactly like a white cop from the ’80s, because that’s what she thinks detectives have to be in order to get noticed in the patriarchy.

“First of all what grabbed my attention was the representation of LGBTQ, and women-driven directors and producers. I’m just so comfortable in that environment, that community, and that’s what I advocate for.”

Who’s The Most Adorable, Instafamous, and Fashionable Star of Sloppy Jones? It’s Pom Pom Chewy

Pom Pom Chewy as Charles Pomzie aka Deb’s Furbaby

Pom Pom Chewy, is a 4-year-old pomeranian rescue from Northern Ontario. He’s the first “Foxeranian”, a fashion icon, Hollywood actor, model, and Instagram Influencer. He plays the adorable, Mr. Charles Pomzie. Deb’s only child and true friend. He’s constantly showing up chef Antoni’s looks and has little regard for the health code violations he breaks.
